Add all the ingredients into a food processor or high-speed blender except the hot water. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides of the bowl. Taste and add a little more syrup if would like sweeter.
If the hummus is too thick, add 1-2 tablespoons of hot water and process until desired consistency.

To store: Place dark chocolate hummus in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 7 days.
