Dark Chocolate Dessert Hummus
Dark Chocolate Dessert Hummus is fudgy, rich, and easy to make! Serve with pretzels and berries for sweet and savory bites to share.

Equipment

  • food processor or high-speed blender

Ingredients
 

  • 1 15 oz can of chickpeas rinsed and drained
  • cup tahini
  • cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1-2 Tablespoons hot water
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon instant espresso powder

Instructions
 

  • Add all the ingredients into a food processor or high-speed blender except the hot water. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides of the bowl. Taste and add a little more syrup if would like sweeter.
  • If the hummus is too thick, add 1-2 tablespoons of hot water and process until desired consistency.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

To store: Place dark chocolate hummus in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 7 days.
